Would you drive an hour to train with me? Majority would say no, but that’s not what a friend from elementary school did. Fate allowed us to cross paths 33 years later! Twice a week for three months, he made the trip, proving that dedication and a willingness to challenge yourself can lead to incredible change. His journey is a testament to what’s possible when you fully commit. Here’s his inspiring story…..”Things changed for me on my birthday in July last year. I’ve kept myself in reasonably good shape most of my life, even ran a half marathon in 2017, but I had just gone through a pretty significant life change and my weight had gone from my usual 175 up to 201.
I had recently created a Facebook account to try an catch up with some old friends, Jason being one as we had gone to school together. Sitting at home on my birthday, I got a message from Jay wishing me a happy birthday. First time I’d had contact with him in a few years. I’m not a spiritual person at all but I took this as a sign that I needed to do something about my health
I called him up, arranged a meeting, and drove down to Cornwall (I live in Ottawa) to see what I could do. Jason laid out the framework of his L.A.W. Program. Just come in twice a week and work with him, follow the protocols laid out in his program the test of the week, and we’ll see what kind of results we can achieve.
Well, 3 months later I’m down 22 pounds (5 more to go!) and I feel like a different person. I have more energy, I sleep better, my clothes fit me properly again, but bigger that that I’ve regained confidence in myself.
I’d like to thank Jason and all the staff at Summit for all the help and guidance along the way. This journey has just begun.
